Tire Derived Aggregate (TDA): tire-derived aggregate is a lightweight substitution for mineral aggregate in concrete, ideal aggregate for lightweight filling, thermal insulation, vibration attenuation and drainage layers. Tires are shredded by a primary shredder into a length of about 1.5 inches then mixed with fine aggregates and other required materials as needed, the mixed aggregate is ready for use. TDA is very beneficial to the Civil Engineering industry, it is being used in road construction, septic system construction, light-rail construction and other construction projects.

The primary raw material of tire is natural rubber which is obtained from the rubber tree, while processing tires, billions of gallons of rubber are extracted or hundred billion gallons of petroleum are consumed for processing synthetic rubber that will later be used for tire processing. Furthermore these tires (either made from natural rubber or synthetic rubber) are non-biodegradable materials, due to its short durability, tires pile up to a large amount of stockpile waste claiming valued usable land and can cause tire fire which pollutes the air for months. The ground rubber is blended with hot asphalt cement that is enough to cause swelling of the rubber particles before usage, more conventional aggregate materials are mixed, then the whole mixture are compacted into the road surface. RAC is a durable, eco-friendly and cost-effective means of road pavements.

[/fusion_toggle][fusion_toggle title=”Tire Derived Aggregate (TDA)” open=”no”]

Tire Derived Aggregate (TDA): tire-derived aggregate is a lightweight substitution for mineral aggregate in concrete, ideal aggregate for lightweight filling, thermal insulation, vibration attenuation and drainage layers. Tires are shredded by a primary shredder into a length of about 1.5 inches then mixed with fine aggregates and other required materials as needed, the mixed aggregate is ready for use. TDA is very beneficial to the Civil Engineering industry, it is being used in road construction, septic system construction, light-rail construction and other construction projects.

[/fusion_toggle][fusion_toggle title=”Tire Derived Fuel (TDF)” open=”no”]Tire Derived Fuel (TDF): tire-derived fuel is a term used for fuel generated by burning tires to power big manufacturing plants, concrete kilns, boilers and paper mills. To process TDF, heavy rim or bead are removed from the tires and then cut into smaller pieces, the pieces may be mixed with smaller amount of other fuel such as coal, wood etc. the fuel is deposited into boilers, furnace to generate thermal energy. Burning tire produce the same energy as burning petroleum and 25% energy more than burning coal.[/fusion_toggle][fusion_toggle title=”Rubber Mulch” open=”no”]Rubber Mulch: Mulch is a material spread around a plant to insulate the soil from intense heat, reduce evaporation and also prevent erosion, main advantages or rubber mulch over organic mulch is that it provides more insulation, does not absorb water and act as a weed barrier. Another advantage is its elasticity; it has springy characteristics when it is spread in thick layers, thus an ideal floor material for playgrounds as it provides additional safety. To process rubber mulch, rims and other metal parts are removed from the tire, the tires are cut into tiny pieces, and then the pieces are spread evenly around the plants or on the floor of a playing ground.[/fusion_toggle][fusion_toggle title=”Artificial Turf” open=”no”]Artificial Turf: expired tires are being recycled into synthetic fibers that are made to look like natural grasses. Stadiums like Paul Brown Stadium, Gillette Stadium, and NGR stadium have switched their pitch and court from natural grass to artificial grass made from recycled tires. These turfs are not only durable but also require less maintenance and can be easily patterned. Another advantage of artificial turf is the ability to maintain traction even in the most extreme weather conditions. The tires are melted after the metal parts have been extracted, the melted liquid is mixed with dyes and chemicals to give it a natural green color and to protect it against ultraviolet ray, the liquid is processed into tiny long strands which are then placed on a carding machine and spun into a loose rope. The ropes are woven into a yarn and then heated to set a twisted shaped. Next, the yarn is fed into the tufting machine that does the job of looping the yarn through the primary backing of the turf. Another secondary backing coated with latex is added to the turf, the two backings are glued together and placed under heat lamps to cure the latex. Taller strands are trimmed to form a uniform surface and the turf is rolled and packaged, ready to be shipped.[/fusion_toggle][fusion_toggle title=”Footwear” open=”no”]Footwear: recently, manufacturing footwear from recycled tires has been trending, manufacturers like Timberland have been purposely manufacturing truck tires that will be recycled into footwear once it expired. Precise sole sizes are cut from the tires and polished to a beautiful touch, caps and other parts of the shoe are added. Durable footwear is ready to be shipped.[/fusion_toggle][fusion_toggle title=”Used of recycled tires” open=”no”]Although tire can also be processed back into a brand new tire, it loses some of its rubber quality and it is not as strong, durable as a newly manufactured tire. Recycled tires are also used for decorations, road embankments, military reinforcements and so on.[/fusion_toggle][/fusion_accordion][/fusion_builder_column][/fusion_builder_row][/fusion_builder_container][fusion_builder_container hundred_percent=”no” hundred_percent_height=”no” hundred_percent_height_scroll=”no” hundred_percent_height_center_content=”yes” equal_height_columns=”no” menu_anchor=”” hide_on_mobile=”small-visibility,medium-visibility,large-visibility” class=”” id=”” background_color=”” background_image=”” background_position=”center center” background_repeat=”no-repeat” fade=”no” background_parallax=”none” enable_mobile=”no” parallax_speed=”0.3″ video_mp4=”” video_webm=”” video_ogv=”” video_url=”” video_aspect_ratio=”16:9″ video_loop=”yes” video_mute=”yes” video_preview_image=”” border_size=”” border_color=”” border_style=”solid” margin_top=”” margin_bottom=”” padding_top=”” padding_right=”” padding_bottom=”” padding_left=””][fusion_builder_row][fusion_builder_column type=”1_1″ layout=”1_1″ spacing=”” center_content=”no” link=”” target=”_self” min_height=”” hide_on_mobile=”small-visibility,medium-visibility,large-visibility” class=”” id=”” background_color=”” background_image=”” background_position=”left top” background_repeat=”no-repeat” hover_type=”none” border_size=”0″ border_color=”” border_style=”solid” border_position=”all” padding_top=”” padding_right=”” padding_bottom=”” padding_left=”” dimension_margin=”” animation_type=”” animation_direction=”left” animation_speed=”0.3″ animation_offset=”” last=”no”][fusion_text columns=”” column_min_width=”” column_spacing=”” rule_style=”default” rule_size=”” rule_color=”” class=”” id=””]Join the process of tire recycling and contribute towards the aim of achieving a greener earth.[/fusion_text][/fusion_builder_column][/fusion_builder_row][/fusion_builder_container][fusion_builder_container hundred_percent=”no” hundred_percent_height=”no” hundred_percent_height_scroll=”no” hundred_percent_height_center_content=”yes” equal_height_columns=”no” menu_anchor=”” hide_on_mobile=”small-visibility,medium-visibility,large-visibility” class=”” id=”” background_color=”” background_image=”” background_position=”center center” background_repeat=”no-repeat” fade=”no” background_parallax=”none” enable_mobile=”no” parallax_speed=”0.3″ video_mp4=”” video_webm=”” video_ogv=”” video_url=”” video_aspect_ratio=”16:9″ video_loop=”yes” video_mute=”yes” video_preview_image=”” border_size=”” border_color=”” border_style=”solid” margin_top=”” margin_bottom=”” padding_top=”” padding_right=”” padding_bottom=”” padding_left=””][fusion_builder_row][fusion_builder_column type=”1_1″ layout=”1_1″ spacing=”” center_content=”no” link=”” target=”_self” min_height=”” hide_on_mobile=”small-visibility,medium-visibility,large-visibility” class=”” id=”” background_color=”” background_image=”” background_position=”left top” background_repeat=”no-repeat” hover_type=”none” border_size=”0″ border_color=”” border_style=”solid” border_position=”all” padding_top=”” padding_right=”” padding_bottom=”” padding_left=”” dimension_margin=”” animation_type=”” animation_direction=”left” animation_speed=”0.3″ animation_offset=”” last=”no”][fusion_separator style_type=”single solid” hide_on_mobile=”small-visibility,medium-visibility,large-visibility” class=”” id=”” sep_color=”rgba(193,25,120,0.73)” top_margin=”5%” bottom_margin=”5%” border_size=”” icon=”” icon_circle=”” icon_circle_color=”” width=”25%” alignment=”center” /][/fusion_builder_column][fusion_builder_column type=”1_1″ layout=”1_1″ spacing=”” center_content=”no” link=”” target=”_self” min_height=”” hide_on_mobile=”small-visibility,medium-visibility,large-visibility” class=”” id=”” background_color=”” background_image=”” background_position=”left top” background_repeat=”no-repeat” hover_type=”none” border_size=”0″ border_color=”” border_style=”solid” border_position=”all” padding_top=”” padding_right=”” padding_bottom=”” padding_left=”” dimension_margin=”” animation_type=”” animation_direction=”left” animation_speed=”0.3″ animation_offset=”” last=”no”][fusion_text columns=”” column_min_width=”” column_spacing=”” rule_style=”default” rule_size=”” rule_color=”” class=”” id=””]
