Pazifik unter Plastikangriff! <\/h2>\n

Seit der Entdeckung des Great Pacific Garbage Patch im Nordkreis des Pazifischen Ozeans wurde in den letzten Jahrzehnten eine Zunahme der Gr\u00f6\u00dfe dieses M\u00fcllfeldes beobachtet. Plastik macht einen gro\u00dfen Teil dieses gro\u00dfen M\u00fcllbeutels aus und es zirkuliert in den australischen Gew\u00e4ssern auf ein gef\u00e4hrliches Niveau. In j\u00fcngsten Berichten wurde der M\u00fcllbefall im Pazifischen Ozean in Bezug auf seine Fl\u00e4che als gr\u00f6\u00dfer gesch\u00e4tzt als in Frankreich. Australische Gew\u00e4sser und Plastikverschmutzung<\/h2>\n

Das kontinuierliche Schlagen der Wellen an den Ufern f\u00fchrt zu einer ununterbrochenen Ablagerung sowie zum Abtransport von Kunststoff vom bzw. ins Meer. Da die Gew\u00e4sser so gro\u00df sind, ist es unm\u00f6glich, Plastik vollst\u00e4ndig aus dem Meer zu entfernen. Die Hauptnahrungsquellen f\u00fcr Meeresv\u00f6gel sind Seefische, die sie von der Wasseroberfl\u00e4che fangen. V\u00f6gel k\u00f6nnen leicht den Plastikm\u00fcll f\u00fcr Fische halten und sterben durch Verstopfung des Verdauungstraktes und der Atemwege. Die Fischnetze und Geisternetze k\u00f6nnen die V\u00f6gel fangen und ihre F\u00e4higkeit zu fliegen komplett blockieren. Diese V\u00f6gel k\u00f6nnen sich weder ern\u00e4hren noch in sicherere Gebiete fliegen. Eine Reihe von V\u00f6geln ist in Australien aufgrund der Plastikverschmutzung ein langsamer Tod gestorben.<\/p>\n
